The beveled edges and inside faces draw inspiration from the original game pieces and are hand-crafted from finely layered, inch-thick Baltic Birch, certified sustainable by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC). A walnut veneer is layered on top of the birch using a non-toxic water-based adhesive.
